Terms & Conditions for Lessons

1. General Agreement

By registering for any Bike Buddies lesson, class, or session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. This agreement is mandatory for participation in our programs.

2. Safety Commitment

At Bike Buddies, safety is our top priority. Our instructors are trained to conduct lessons with utmost care. However, please acknowledge:

Helmets are mandatory for all participants. Properly fitted helmets significantly reduce the risk of injury.
Activities such as biking and scootering carry inherent risks.
Bike Buddies and its staff are not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during or after sessions, regardless of location.

3. Lesson Timing and Punctuality

We strive to provide the full duration of each scheduled lesson.
If a participant arrives late and the instructor has another appointment afterward, the session will still conclude at the originally scheduled end time to maintain fairness for all clients.
If you miss a lesson without giving us notice in advance, a $25 no-show fee will apply.

4. Private Lesson Terms

All private lessons must be booked in advance.
Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 12 hours’ notice.
Missed lessons without proper notice may be charged in full.
Parents/guardians are welcome to observe but should not interfere unless safety concerns arise.

5. Liability Waiver

By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge the risks associated with outdoor physical activities. You release Bike Buddies, its employees, and affiliates from all liability for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from participation, except in cases of proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

6. Equipment Responsibility

Participants are expected to bring their own equipment, including bicycles, scooters, helmets, and safety gear, unless otherwise arranged.
Bike Buddies is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

7. Medical Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize Bike Buddies staff to seek emergency medical treatment for your child. You agree to bear any costs incurred for such treatment.

8. Health and Illness Policy

Children exhibiting symptoms of contagious illnesses should not attend sessions.
Bike Buddies reserves the right to deny participation to any child who appears unwell to ensure the safety of all participants.

9. Photography and Media Consent

By participating in Bike Buddies programs, you consent to the use of photographs or videos taken during sessions for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website content, and marketing materials. If you do not consent, please notify us in writing prior to your child’s participation.

10. Code of Conduct

All participants and their guardians are expected to behave respectfully towards instructors and other participants. Bike Buddies reserves the right to dismiss any participant or guardian for inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to harassment, aggression, or failure to adhere to safety guidelines.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
